The Tier 2 RG146 Accreditation online training program is specifically designed for organisations that require employees to hold accreditation to provide Tier 2 general advice in general insurance and/or personal advice in basic deposit and non-cash payment products. These courses may also be suitable for individual professionals providing general advice on these products or those seek employment in a financial services organisation.  

These courses prepare students for the job role through demonstrating “real task simulated” assessments.    

On successful completion of this program, individuals will be able to understand the role and responsibilities of a Tier 2 Adviser including:   

  • The financial services industry and ASIC compliance framework   
  • Features of Tier 2 products and structures  
  • The difference between general advice and personal advice   
  • How to build client relationships and provide quality customer service 
  • Provide advice and information on these products and process the application from first contact to implementation

Course Options

This Tier 2 RG146 accreditation program is specifically designed for corporate organisations that require employees to hold accreditation to provide personal advice in deposit and non-cash payment products.  

Deposit products include term deposits, high interest earning and transactional accounts. Non-cash payment products refer to periodical payments, traveller’s cheques, cheques, debit and EFTPOS cards and electronic cash arrangements.

  • FNSIAD311 Provide general advice on financial products and services

CPD Hours 

CPD hours – 4  

This course describes the skills and knowledge required to assess clients’ needs and provide general advice on suitable general insurance products (excluding personal accident and illness). 

General insurance provides cover for valuable assets such as; home, contents, motor vehicles and business assets. It also includes cover for travel and some illness and accident policies.

*The knowledge assessment may be exempt for students who have completed the Tier 2 Personal Advice in Deposit and Non-cash Payment Products RG146 course with AAMC Training.   

CPD hours – 3

PLEASE NOTE: To satisfy the requirements of your employer/licensee you may be required to additionally complete the units below, which are covered in the Tier 2 Personal Advice in Deposit and Non-cash Payment Products RG146. Please check your requirements before enrolling into this course.

Course Duration

Your enrolment is valid for a period of six (6) months.  Each course option above is considered as a separate enrolment and 6 months for each will apply from the date enrolled. Course extensions of up to three (3) months may be granted upon request, please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

Delivery Options

Online (remote self-paced)

Credit Transfer

You may be able to claim credit transfer for a unit/s of competency that you have previously completed with AAMC Training or another RTO. If you have been awarded a record of results or statement of attainment for any of the units detailed in your course, you can request a credit transfer for those units.  You must provide a certified copy of your record of results or statement of attainment. Your credit transfer request will then be reviewed, and you will be notified of the outcome by email.

Payment Options

Payment can be made with credit card during the enrolment process or via the online learner portal, once the enrolment is complete.  Alternatively, payments are accepted via bank transfer, the invoice number must be entered as the reference.  Access to material and assessments will be granted once funds have cleared in our account.
